Local Professor Creates Anthology to Raise Money for The One Fund

The new anthology of poems, "Like One: Poems for Boston," benefits victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Deborah Finkelstein is doing her part to help the healing process and support victims of the Boston Marathon bombing by way of a new anthology of poems.

Finkelstein, who lives in Arlington, is an adjunct English professor at North Shore Community College in Danvers and at Endicott College in Beverly. Proceeds from the book "Like One" benefit The One Fund Boston.

“Poets were very receptive to the idea of a book that would be used to heal the community while raising money for The One Fund,” says Finkelstein, who organized and edited the anthology.

"Like One: Poems for Boston" is a collection of "humorous and uplifting poems" by authors from around the country, including several from the North Shore and Boston area, such as fellow Endicott professors Dan Sklar and Margaret Young, Salem State professors Jennifer Jean and Kevin Carey, Doug Holder, Fred Marchant, Jill McDonough and former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky.

“I am pleased to have worked with so many talented people to write this book,” says Finkelstein.

The anthology is currently available as a paperback on Amazon.com and an eBook will be published soon, she said.
