The snow Friday morning is wreaking havoc with traffic across the state, particularly on highways.
Route 128 North between Peabody and Beverly was turned into a parking lot for a short while after multiple crashes due to slippery road conditions.
The northbound side of the highway was shut down near Route 1A in Beverly shortly after 8 am and reopened by 9 am.
One of the morning's accidents was a vehicle rollover in Peabody on the Route 128 ramp to I-95 North. There were no injuries reported.
Estimated traffic time between Centennial Drive in Peabody and Route 1A was still 23 minutes at 9:45 am. Normally the drive time is 7 minutes.
