Band That Opened for Jimi Hendrix Among Local Live Music This Weekend

Here is a round up of live music happening this weekend around the North Shore.

This weekend is packed with live music on the North Shore and a whole bunch of bands playing a wide variety of music genres, from classic rock to blues and soul, can be seen for free at rock clubs and restaurants throughout the region. 

Larry Power and the 12:01 Blues Band is playing Red Rock Bistro on Friday night. This band has been performing since the 1960s, when they opened for Jimi Hendrix. Throughout the years, 12:01 Blues Band jammed with the Allman Brothers, Steely Dan and Dicky Betts.

HDRnB is playing Chianti's in Beverly this Saturday, returning "with another night of R&B, Soul. Featuring Douglas Gimble on vocals, Henley Douglas Jr. on saxophone, Squantch on trombone, John Iltiss on drums, and Dave Walker on bass."
