Comfort My People - Kristallnacht, A Night to Remember

There is a special event Sunday evening, November 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 at Gordon College Chapel, Wenham, Massachusetts, to remember Kristallnacht, the "Night of Broken Glass" in Nazi Germany, on the 73rd anniversary of that terrible event.

Speakers include Dr. Marvin Wilson, author of “My Father Abraham” and Professor of Biblical Studies at Gordon College, Dr. Charles Jacobs, co-founder of The David Project Center for Jewish Leadership and The Sudan Campaign, a coalition calling for an end to slavery, and special guests with an intriguing story, Dody Waring and Helga Lustig, a holocaust survivor.

Music will be provided by Cantor Elana Rozenfeld of Congregation Shirat Hayam, Swampscott, Massachusetts. Her passion for both Hebrew and Yiddish enriches her superb musicand appeals to a multifaceted, modern community.

Hope Rising, the spirited Worship Team of Christian Renewal Church, Beverly, Massachusetts, will present uplifting, worshipful music under the capable and artful leadership of composer, singer, guitarist Pastor Scott Smith. 

The event is organized and implemented by Christian Renewal Church and the Jewish Culture Club of Gordon College. It is co-sponsored by ACT! for America Boston Chapter, ACT! for America North Shore Chapter, Americans for Peace and Tolerance, Christians and Jews United For Israel and Holocaust Center Boston North Attendees will  be updated on how anti-Semitism plagues the world today and learn more about the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) from the well-informed, highly-regarded speakers.Doors open a 6:00 PM.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available  following the main event. No reservations or tickets are necessary. Everyone is welcome.
