Join Wenham Museum in a celebration of community creativity in a display of over 60 unique sculptures by amateur and semi-professional LEGO artists. Carefully configured towers, creatures and imaginary places built by children and adults will move and amaze you!

LEGOs have entertained and inspired people for decades. Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen named his company “LEGO” – a contraction of the Danish phrase leg godt, which means “play well” – and in 1949 LEGO began making the now-famous bricks based on a design by English toy company owner Hilary Page. Since that time they have become a staple in most of our childhood toy boxes and continue to inspire many of us into adulthood.

Visitors will have an opportunity to think out-of-the-box and build their own miniature masterpieces at our creative stations throughout this colorful exhibit.

Save the date for a rail fun time at Wenham Museum’s LEGO Train Model Train Layout Created by The New England LEGO Users Group February 16 –17, 2013.
