Boston Pets Going Out of Business, Liquidating Inventory

Nearly everything in the store is on sale, ranging from 20-80 percent off.

After more than three years in business, Boston Pets on Route 114 plans to close its doors at the end of the month and liquidate all its inventory by offering deep discounts to customers.

The owners, Peter and Patricia Ream, officially notified their loyal customers a week ago via email, saying they had decided to close the store for several reasons and were holding the ongoing sale as a way to say thanks for the loyal support and patronage.

Nearly everything in the store ranges from 20-80 percent off, from dog toys and treats to bird feeders, grooming supplies, reptile and bird cages, desks, kennels and store display shelving.

"We will miss all the wonderful aspects of this business, but what we will especially miss are the friends we have made with you and your pets as customers. We have enjoyed meeting all of you and hope to still see you as friends," the Ream's message read.

Boston Pets, which offers grooming services in addition to products, is located at 242 Andover St. in Peabody. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Stop in while supplies last to take advantage of the sale.
