Danvers Dish: Pan Seared Free Range Duck Breast

The first in our new weekly Danvers Dish column.

Welcome to Danvers Dish: a new Thursday afternoon column, each week highlighting one of the many unique food options in town.

This week's Danvers Dish was chosen from , on 9 Elm St.

Dish: Pan Seared Free Range Duck Breast

What Is It: Free-range duck in an orange mustard glaze, pan roasted,  accompanied by butternut squash and bacon risotto.

Chef and owner Matt Sanidas said this dish has been on the menu since the bistro's opening 3 years ago, and is "definitely one of the most popular items on the menu." Sanidas said it's unique because not every restaurant sells duck, and it isn't something that's commonly prepared at home.

Paired Perfectly With: Organic Montinore Estate Pinot Noir

Price: $24

Dinner Served: Monday-Thursday: 4:30pm-9 p.m., Friday-Saturday: 4:30pm-10 p.m.

Call (978) 774.9436 to make a reservation.

Email danvers@patch.com to be an upcoming Danvers Dish.

I have been to Nine Elm once so far, and this is the dish I got, it was delicious! And I actually had it with the Pinot Noir. FANTASTIC!
