IMAGE GALLERY: Maple Street Tavern, Open At Last

Dean and Kim Borders said they couldn't have been happier on Friday night at the overwhelmingly warm reception they received during their tavern's opening.

By some accounts, at the peak of Friday evening there were nearly eighty close friends and family celebrating the soft opening of the long awaited .

The doors officially opened to a modest crowd at 4 p.m., with a steady stream of guests arriving within the next few hours. By 7 p.m., as the crowd hummed along to classic rock on the jukebox, the party really got into full swing as Borders began bringing out steak tips, buffalo chicken and assorted salads for the crowd to sample.

The Tavern had been in the works for more than a year, and owner and manager Dean Borders opening the business was "the hardest thing I've ever done."

On Saturday, the tavern wrote on its Facebook page "Thanks for all your patience and support, we are now open for business!"
