Open House at North Shore Performance Training

North Shore Performance Training (NSPT), located inside of Route One SportsPlex, is holding an Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7. 

NSPT offers complete functional training workouts and strength and conditioning programs in both individual and group sessions. 

"Our goal is for all clients to better their mobility, speed and quickness along with total body strength and core strength with each workout," said James Baker, co-founder, NSPT. "Whether you're an athlete preparing for your upcoming season, a fitness enthusiast, or a beginner to performance training, we will help you attain your goals."

Chris McKenna and James Baker are the co-founders of NSPT.  

McKenna was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Assistant Athletic Trainer at UMass Boston. He also worked with the Red Sox, White Sox and San Francisco Giants organizations. McKenna also worked in the NBA Developmental League. 

Baker played professional baseball for seven seasons and graduated from Wheaton College and the National Personal Training Institute.

At NSPT, people will find:

  • State-of-the-art squat racks with high pull up bars 
  • 2 fully loaded dumbbell racks 
  • 15x80 ft turf runway for speed and agility training
  • TRX hook ups
  • Kettle bells,  ropes, medicine balls, resistance bands and much more
  • Certified nutritionist on staff
