Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park Gets OK

The Board of Selectmen approved a common victualler license for the new facility.

The largest trampoline park in New England bounced a step closer to becoming reality with the Danvers Board of Selectmen approving a common victualler license for Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park.

Chris Wietecha, who will be manager of the facility that is going into the former Sports Authority at Liberty Tree Mall, came before the board to get the license on Tuesday.

Wietecha said the facility will be meant for everyone: children’s birthday parties, fitness classes, corporate events and dodge ball tournaments.

“You can throw a dodge ball at your boss,” Wietecha quipped.

Sky Zone will also have concession stands that will offer mostly healthy foods, as well as smoothies.

The company is planning more than 20,000 square feet of interconnected trampoline courts in the 43,000 square-foot space.

There are 67 Sky Zone locations, including ones in Everett, Boston and Providence.

Wietecha said construction should begin in the coming weeks with a open date as soon as Sept. 15.
