The Ultimate Moves Down Newbury Street
The local bridal and women's apparel shop is now located at 130 Newbury St. in Peabody in a much bigger space and is the anchor tenant at a new commercial development.
The Ultimate Woman Apparel has finally moved about a quarter-mile down the highway to its new home on Route 1 in Peabody and has a lot more room.
The local bridal and women's apparel shop is the anchor tenant in a new commercial building at 130 Newbury St. (Route 1 South) and occupies 10,000 square feet of space on the second floor. On the bottom floor is the new Honey Dew Donuts.
Opening day for the Ultimate at the new location was on Saturday after more than two years of waiting for the new development to be ready to go.
The old Countryside Motel was razed at the site to make way for the new commercial building. There were also discussions at one point to bring in a national pizza chain to occupy another commercial space on the bottom floor.
The owners, Heather and Fawn, shared the news of the big move via this video on the store's Facebook page -- "They finally made the dream come true."
