William A. Cerretani

Danvers, MA, February, 2014: In December, 2013, William A. Cerretani retired from his position as the President of the Danvers Community Access Television Board of Directors. Cerretani has served as President for over ten years and helped conceptualize who and what DCAT was back in 2001. On his involvement, Cerretani said, “It was a great learning experience, to start a business and make it run. . . I enjoyed it thoroughly”. Cerretani played a huge role in developing DCAT and worked closely with the town to create and gain the correct licensing packages and non-profit status. He also helped plan the move of the studio on School Street to the new, larger Elm Street location. The past year a DCAT has been full of new beginnings, Cerretani feels DCAT is moving in “a positive direction” and he “sees a lot of good growth”. In his honor DCAT has named our onsite conference room the “William A. Cerretani Community Conference Room”. DCAT staff and board members would like to thank Cerretani for everything he has done and the role he has played in making DCAT the place it is today. DCAT is more than just a job or a company, as Cerretani said, “It became a part of me; I became part of the business. It was not a job but a personal endeavor.” Pauline Butler has been named Bill’s successor.
