Drum Corps is Back on Boston's North Shore - and we want YOU to join us!

If you are a brass player, percussionist or color guard performer and love marching band, drum corps or simply entertaining, the Arbella Drum & Bugle Corps based on the North Shore is looking for you to join it's ranks.

With a light practice schedule during the fall and winter, and a performing season in the summer,  it does not conflict with your schools' music programs.

Arbella was reformed in 2011 by a small group of alumni who marched in the previous version of the Corps which was based in Salem from 1975-1983.  Arbella was always known for being a "class act" with it's nautically-themed uniforms and high standards, and for many years, was at the very top of it's class, winning championships around the country.

Drum Corps has changed alot over the years, become an elite "sport" of the "marching arts", available in few states and mostly to accomplished musicians who can afford to participate and spend their summers touring the country in competition.   Arbella is not going to be one of those corps. Instead, we will be bringing the art of drum corps to our local community in a way which gives people of all ages the opportunity to perform, in the style of drum corps.

Drum Corps is all about the "details".  We spend an inordinate amount of time perfecting the small details that, over time, help develop a program of such quality, the audience leaps to their feet.

Arbella is an independent organization attracting members from our local high schools such as Salem, Danvers and Peabody, as well as older local high school band alumni.  Also amongst our ranks are teachers and drum corps alumni.  Our instructors are the very best in their field, and are even judges in the drum corps world - so they know exactly what we need to be doing in order to create a fantastic program.  We will be performing locally this summer, namely in the Salem, Danvers, Beverly, Peabody, Ipswich and Marblehead areas.

Please check out our website at arbellacorps.org for our online schedule.  We look forward to seeing you at a practice soon!
