5 Things To Know on Jan. 16: A Complete Video Tour of the Swampwalk

Welcome to “5 Things,” your daily resource for community events, happenings in town and other little tidbits of information. Here are five things you need to know on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

1. Snow: Snow dominates the weather forecast on Wednesday with temperatures in the 30s.

2. Swampwalk: The Danvers Swampwalk is growing its presence on YouTube, with at least eight videos, including one that is a full tour starting at the Route 97 parking lot in Wenham that includes music and an interview with a man who was out on a walk.

3. State of the State: Gov. Deval Patrick will deliver the State of the Commonwealth address on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. The speech from the Statehouse, will be carried by most major local television stations, including channels 4, 5 and 7 and NECN.

4. Career Night: The economy may still be slumping, but there are some career that are in high demand. And North Shore Community College, which has a campus in Danvers, wants to help you learn how to get properly trained to get some of those jobs at a Career Training Information Night on Wednesday at its Institute for Corporate Training and Technology in Beverly. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. in Suite 121E in 100 Cummings Center.

5. Speed Networking: The North Shore Chamber of Commerce, headquartered in Cherry Hill Industrial Park in Danvers, is hosting a 6-minute speed networking event at Finz in Salem on Wednesday evening. It starts at 5 p.m. and costs $25 for members and $50 for non-members.
