A great way to start the day with a quick look at the events and happenings in town.

Welcome to “5 Things,” your daily resource for community events, happenings in town and other little tidbits of information. Here are five things you need to know on Monday, Aug. 20.

1. Clouds: Monday will be a cloudy day and not so warm – temperatures will be in the 70s. No rain is expected.

The Peabody Farmers Market is on Tuesday evenings at Leather City Common from 2-7 p.m. and on Wednesday Middleton’s has its Farmers Market at Angelica's Restaurant parking lot from 3-7 p.m. On Thursday, the Salem Farmers Market is at Derby Square, on Front Street in the downtown from 3-7 p.m.
