Coastal Flood Advisory Issued Again on Friday

High tides and northeast wind could cause minor flooding along the water on Friday.

A coastal flood advisory is has been issued on Friday for waterfront properties because of astronomically high tides.

“Some minor coastal flooding is possible with the late morning high tide cycle today,” the National Weather Service said when it issued its advisory on Friday morning.

The advisory runs from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m. on Friday.

The unusually high tide combined with a “north and northeast flow” off shore could cause “another round of minor coastal flooding with this astronomical high tide.”

High tide is Danvers is at 12:22 p.m.

The impact on Friday are likely to be a little less than Thursday, the weather service said, because the winds will be slightly less and the tide slightly lower. Nonetheless, “locally prone locations may be susceptible to minor coastal flooding,” the weather service said.
