The following Family Festival events are scheduled for today:

Touch A Truck

  • When: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Where:
  • What: While toy trucks provide children with endless amusement, they bear no comparison to the real thing! Truck enthusiasts of all ages are invited to get an up close look at a variety of trucks from your local businesses and the town. There will also be interactive safety stations education your family on how to have a safe summer. This event is free for the entire family. We only ask for a suggested donation to benefit the DARE program and the Fire Department SAFE program. 

Highlands Bean Supper and Folk Festival

  • When: 12- Sunset
  • Where: Village Training Field (Highlands Common) on the corner of Centre and Ingersoll Street. 
  • What: A traditional Bean Supper is served in an open air dining hall from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Entertainment includes live folk music and skits. Local organizations and businesses will be hosting exhibits celebrating American history and featuring their wars and services.

All North Shore couples are invited to renew their wedding vows ... all faiths welcome ... at 2 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion on the lawn of the Danvers Public Library. There will be a string quartet, Rev. Thea Keith-Lucas, rector of Calvary Episcopal Church will preside. Reception immediately follows at Calvary Episcopal Church with lovely sweets from Cakes for Occasions. Join us!
