MBTA to Shut Down at 2 p.m., Last Train to North Shore at 1:20 p.m.
Plan your trip home on the commuter rail accordingly because the MBTA will shut down at 2 p.m. on Monday because of Hurricane Sandy.
If you braved the elements and took the MBTA commuter rail to work in Boston this morning, pack up your stuff now: The MBTA will shut down service at 2 p.m. due to severe weather caused by Hurricane Sandy.
According to the T website, the service suspension includes subway, bus and commuter rail service.
The last commuter rail train to the North Shore, including Beverly Depot and Salem Station, will leave North Station at 1:20 p.m. and is scheduled to get into Salem at 1:49 p.m. and Beverly at 1:53 p.m.

The shut down will also affect MBTA bus service to Danvers, including Routes 436 and 465, which serves the Liberty Tree Mall, and Route 468, which serves Danvers Square.
Ferry service was already been suspended earlier in the day. The Ride remains open but users are "strongly encouraged" to call ahead to see if service is available.
