The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 4 p.m. Sunday until 1 a.m. Monday for much of eastern New England, including Essex County.
Weather officials warn of wind gusts between 45 and 50 mph from the southeast to
south. The strongest winds are expected late afternoon through midnight, according to the National Weather Service.
The winds may knock down large branches and cause scattered power outages. The NWS is also warning that driving may be difficult during this time period.
Make sure to tie down your Christmas displays as the wind will pick up throughout the day.
