NSTC Breakfast: Affordable Care Act – How Your Business Can Avoid Pitfalls and Enjoy Benefits

How will your business be impacted when the ACA’s first provisions take effect next January? Get clear information about healthcare reform and learn how to give your business a competitive edge by preparing in advance for compliance, administration, reporting requirements and employee relations. Heath Goudreau of Insperity will moderate a discussion with William Enck, of  BerryDunn and Kara J. Dowal, Esq. of McLane Law Firm at this North Shore Technology Council breakfast on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, 7:00 - 9:00 AM  (7:00 AM networking and continental breakfast; 8:15 AM program begins). Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott Street, Danvers, MA. Register for this event at www.nstc.org. The registration fee is $25 for NSTC members and $50 for non-members.  E-mail events@nstc.org for more information.

Goudreau and the panel will review critical considerations and decisions you’ll need to make as the ACA rolls out and cover what to expect in terms of complexity, costs, quality and employee morale. The discussion will provide detailed definitions of the ACA provisions that will go into effect in January 2014 as well as an overview of the entire rollout (through 2018). Panelists will address what health care reform means for improving access to affordable, quality coverage as well as how it will specifically affect employer responsibilities, insurer accountability, and taxes/costs for employers and carriers.
