Danvers Family Festival DANVERS IDOL Preliminary Auditions!

The Danvers Family Festival is excited to announce the 7th
annual 2014 Danvers Idol.

With the publicity surrounding the success last year of
Beverly’s Angie Miller, and with the addition of fabulous prizes, we are sure
this year’s event will be our biggest yet.

Preliminaries will be held on Saturday June 7th
at the DCAT studios
in Danvers. Anyone, from any community, can try out with a
one minute A Capella song. A panel of music industry judges will provide
commentary and constructive criticism. Preliminary judges include musicians
Ryan Brooks Kelly, Ashley Johnson, and Randy Barr.

These judges, and the Danvers Idol Committee, will determine
the 10 finalists who will perform on Saturday June 28th at the brand
new Danvers High School Auditorium.

At the finals event, a panel of esteemed judges will include
Karen Nascembeni, Director of Community Relations at North Shore Music Theater,
Tom Page – musical artist and owner of Decibel Architects. And Marty Walsh, Assistant
Professor at Berklee College of Music, recording star, and guitarist whose has
performed with LeAnn Rimes, Supertramp, John Fogerty, John Denver, Seals and
Crofts, and Eddie Kendricks

And this year, the audience will have a say on which of the
10 finalist go on to compete as the top 3. Each audience member will fill out a
ballot for their favorite top 3 performers.

These three finalists will perform the same evening, judged
by our esteemed judges, from which one talented performer will be crowned the
2014 Danvers Idol.
