"Girl Rising" Movie Screening (Danvers High School DECA)

Danvers DECA will be hosting a screening of the groundbreaking film Girl Rising on October 10th at 6:30 pm in the Danvers High School Auditorium.

The screening costs $5  for presale tickets (sold through the Danvers High School School Store (Falcons Nest) or through Erin Heald who can be contacted through email at erinheald7@gmail.com )
Tickets will also be sold at the door and will cost $7.

Girl Rising revolves around a movement to educate girls and change the world. This film spotlights the stories of nine unforgettable girls born into unforgiving circumstances. It captures their dreams, their voices and their remarkable lives. This is a movement dedicated to empowering and achieving educational equity for girls around the world.

Proceeds from this event will go directly to the Girl Rising Campaign to educate girls in who cannot currently access education as we can here. Through this event, the hosts are trying to raise awareness of the barriers presented to girls around the world and to help them find success through education.

Three students will be hosting this event to present a public relations project on the success of this event (hopefully) through various DECA competitions in the upcoming months.
