Holten Richmond Middle School Presents "Willie Wonka Jr."

It’s a sweet ride through a
world of pure imagination as the Holten Richmond Theater Organization (HRTO)
presents the musical “Willie Wonka Malone Jr.” on February 7 and 8, 2014 at the
Holten Richmond Middle School,
55 Conant Street, Danvers, MA.
Performances take place at 7 PM on Friday, February 7, and at 1 PM and 7 PM on
Saturday, February 8. Tickets are $10 ($7 students and seniors), available at
the door or for order in advance by contacting Kathy Lopes at 978-774-2039 or KathyML2378@aol.com.

Over 100 students from Holten Richmond
Middle School are
participating in the cast and crew of this production. Directed by HRMS drama
teacher Cherry Bennett with the support of the HRTO Parent Board, “Willie Wonka
Jr.” tells the story of how eccentric candy manufacturer Willie Wonka chooses
an heir to his business from among the five children who found “golden tickets”
in candy bars. With lyrics and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley,
this is the Broadway Junior Version of the stage musical based on Roald Dahl’s
classic novel, Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory
.

At all performances, the HRTO Parent Board is collecting donations of
non-perishable food for the Danvers Food Pantry. HRTO will also hold raffles
and refreshment sales during intermission. Please visit HRTO’s Facebook page
for updates on the show: https://www.facebook.com/pages/HRTO-Holten-Richmond-Theater-Organization/235703586479220.
