The winner of four
2013 Tony® Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, PIPPIN is truly magical and
extraordinary! Boston Children’s Theatre
(BCT) is proud to present this thrilling musical to showcase the talents of 13-year
old Lucy Desmond. PIPPIN will be performed July 18, 19, 20, and 21 at The Governor’s
Academy in Byfield, MA.
Cast in the role of a
‘Player’ in the ensemble of PIPPIN,
Lucy is no stranger to the stage. She
has appeared in numerous BCT productions including Legally Blonde as ‘Enid,’ Footloose
and The Wedding Singer. A student at the Brookwood School, Lucy has
appeared in the school’s holiday production of The Gift and with Neverland Theatre as a ‘Munchkin’ in The Wizard of Oz.

Hirson, PIPPIN follows a young man
on his journey to find meaning in his life. Will he choose a happy, simple
existence or risk everything for a moment of glory? Featuring such songs as “Corner of the Sky,”
“Magic to Do,” “Glory,” and “Morning Glow,” PIPPIN is directed by Lisa Yuen, director of BCT’s 2012 Studio 3 production
of Legally Blonde, with choreography
by Blair Beasley and Brianna Fallon, and music direction by Jaime Castellanos.

PIPPIN will be performed with 2 casts totaling 58 students between the ages of 9 and 14 at The Governor’s Academy, 1 Elm Street, Byfield, MA. Lucy Desmond will be performing on Thursday,
July 18 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, July 21 at 2:00
pm. Tickets are $20 and $15 for adults
and $15 and $10 for students. For
