Merrimack Valley Philharmonic to Feature Violinist Joshua Peckins

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to feature native artist, Joshua Peckins, who has returned after living several years in Vienna.  Joshua will be performing the Brahms Violin Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major, Op. 77.

First performing as a soloist with orchestra at age 11, Joshua, as student of Masconomet Regional High School, later was the recipient of the Philharmonic 2003 Nicholas Van Slyck Scholarship.  Mr. Peckins hold degrees in violin performance from the New England Conservatory, Yale University School of Music and the University of Music of Vienna, respectively.

The well-known Dvorak Symphony 9 in E Minor, Op.95 (From the New World) will also be included in this orchestral performance, under the direction of George Monseur.
