NSTC Leadership Insights Series – Transforming from “Techie” to Chairman of the Board

Can great technologists also be great leaders? Do those very qualities that launch successful careers in the technology and engineering fields become impediments or enablers in the successful transition to the C-suite?   What are the key challenges facing an engineer who aspires to become a leader, and what “secret weapons” can he or she use to compete with talent coming from other disciplines like management, law or finance?
