Danvers High Volleyball Raising Funds to Grow Program

Head coach George LeVasseur says there was a "huge" turnout for the program and the only obstacle now is money to hire another coach and cover other costs for the program. He recently started a fundraising page on gofundme.

The Danvers High volleyball team finished up its inaugural season earlier this fall winless but with smiles intact.

Head coach George LeVasseur says there was a "huge" turnout for the program and the only obstacle now is money to hire another coach and cover other costs. He recently started a fundraising page on gofundme with a goal of $3,000.

"Looking forward we want to be able to give as many girls the opportunity to play this awesome sport as we can! The only issue we're facing is one of a financial nature. We need to raise money to fund this intake of more girls," writes LeVasseur.

He said the money will go toward adding a third coach and other costs for running the program. "Every dollar helps!"
