Get Free Help Applying for College Financial Aid at NSCC on January 27

Thinking about going to college? One of the first steps is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to receive many types of federal, state and private financial aid, and must be completed by college deadlines. College-bound students and their parents can receive free assistance in filing the federal financial aid application on FAFSA Day, which will take place Sunday, January 27, 1 p.m. at North Shore Community College's (NSCC) Lynn Campus, 300 Broad St.

At FAFSA Day, volunteer financial aid and higher education experts will help families complete the FAFSA and offer one-on-one assistance. The services are free and available to anyone entering college in 2013, and low-income, first-generation students are especially encouraged to attend. Assistance is also available for adult students preparing to enroll in college in 2013.

FAFSA Day is held at additional locations and on additional dates across Massachusetts. Locations, dates and times are listed at www.FAFSAday.org Families are encouraged to register for a specific location and arrive early.
