Public Invited to NSCC's Annual Law Day Lecture, May 1

North Shore Community College invites the public to its annual Law Day Lecture Thursday, May 1, 7:30 - 9 a.m., at NSCC's Danvers Campus, 1 Ferncroft Road, in the Math and Sciences building lecture hall, DS119.

This year's Law Day theme is Why Every Vote Matters: American Democracy and the Rule of Law.  The guest speakers will be Dr. Keith Bentele and Dr. Erin O’Brien, both professors at UMass Boston who will address this theme with a lecture from their research work and article entitled: “Jim Crow 2.0? Why States Consider and Adopt Restrictive Voter Access Policies.”      


The lecture is free and open to the public but seating is limited and registration is required.  A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and the lecture will begin promptly at 8 a.m. For more information or to reserve your seat, contact Sandy Rochon, Alumni Coordinator, 978-762-4000, x5481 or srochon@northshore.edu
