Obituary: Randy J. Steen, 50

Randy J. Steen, 50, of Danvers, died Tuesday April 22, 2014 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a long courageous battle with diabetes.

Born and raised in Danvers he was the beloved son of James and Nancy (Homan) Steen. Randy was educated in the Danvers school system and was a graduate of Danvers High School class of 1982.

Mr. Steen had been employed by Four Star Towing and Wood Trucking as a driver for many years. Most recently he had been self-employed.

Randy was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who loved and cared for him.

Surviving him in addition to his loving parents James and Nancy are his sisters, Sheryl Mysliwy and her husband Richard and Jodie Steen all of Danvers; two nephews, James Mysliwy and Sean Mysliwy and his wife Alex and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his special friends Dianne and Donna and his beloved cat Oreo.

Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service which will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Friday April 25, 2014 at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rt 62) Danvers, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
