Highlands School

I have been a resident of Danvers for about 20 years!...i have many great stories and comments...however today i just wanted to share my appreciation of our Danvers Schools....my 3 boys have had the benefit and pleasure to have gone to...Great Oak, Riverside, & Highlands ...2 of which are still in Highlands....Miss Mathews is a wonderful Principal...in many ways...she truly cares for her students and their families...her staff of teachers, counselors, aides, secretaries...even the nurses...are top quality ...each year Highlands strives to be whatever is beneficial to our children...in many areas ...i have had the pleasure and benefit of their services with my youngest son who has Autism...as well as his brother who struggles with a few learning areas of his own...as well as some small social skills that require some extra attention..Highlands is willing to help every child with or without a IEP....sometimes offer more help than can be accepted for whatever reason ...without making the parent feel like a bad parent...Highlands should be proud of what they offer students as well as proud of all who work there in any way...they have some of the best staff ..i say some because Riverside and Great Oak have the rest...well maybe not the rest...because as im sure to find out their middle school as well as high school has some of the best staff as well...so to sum up what was suppose to be a short blog...Danvers Schools Are Awesome! Highly recommended from a parent who has had and will continue im sure...excellent experiences with at least 3 of their schools....Nice Job!
