A resident's niece complained to the assisted living in September that her aunt's medicine was different than what she had been picking up for her at the pharmacy, the police report said.

At that point, Brightview, alongside the , began an investigation with hidden cameras, that revealed Martin taking medication from residents.

Martin, who was arraigned on six counts of larceny of prescription drugs and a charge of possessing class B controlled substances, will likely undergo Nursing Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program, or SARP a state drug treatment program designed for nurses, according to her lawyer, Mark Berry in the Globe article.

Martin will return to court on March 21 after she is evaluated by the court’s physician, Dr. Randall Dwyer, the Globe reported.
