Burglary Suspect Has Long Criminal History

The Danvers man who allegedly broke into a Woburn home and then fled with his wife and five small children on Friday had 81 different entries in his criminal history before last week’s incident.

Many charges in Ralph Pasquarello’s criminal history are larcenies. He was found guilty of larceny at least five times between 1993 and 2008, according to Woburn Police.

On Friday, Woburn Police charged Ralph Michael Pasquarello, 39, 152 Endicott St., Danvers, on a long list of charges:

• Breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony
• Malicious destruction of property less than 4250
• Larceny from a building
• Resisting arrest
• Two counts of assault and battery on a police officer
• A marked lanes violation
• Failing to stop for police
• Negligently operating a motor vehicle
• Five counts of wanton child endangerment with risk of serious injury
• Being a common and notorious chief
• Possessing a Class A drug
• Conspiracy
• Attempting to commit a crime

Police also arrested and charged his wife, Salina Pasquarello, for breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, failing to stop for police, negligently operating a motor vehicle, five counts of wanton child endangerment with risk of serious injury, larceny from a building and possessing a Class A drug.

Woburn Police believe she knew her husband “was engaging in criminal activity and being pursued” by police when she fled the scene on Friday.

During a later interview, the male Pasquarello said he told his wife he was “going to look at a painting job” and she parked at a pizza place and waited with their children in the vehicle. He reportedly admitted to police that he broke into the home and tried to steal a large flat-screen TV, said Woburn Police.

After running from the home and getting away from police, he returned to the vehicle and his wife drove away. He then took over driving the vehicle on Russell Street. Woburn and Lexington Police boxed in the vehicle in Lexington and arrested the pair.

The man, who lives with his family at the Econolodge in Danvers, had a $500 Armani Exchange watch when he was arrested, according to the police report.

The five children who were in the vehicle range in age from 2 to 6. The state Department of Children and Families initially placed the children back with their mother, who was bailed out of jail on Friday, and their maternal grandmother. But the following day, DCF changed its mind and placed them into state care.
