These cops need to find something better to do, the 2nd amendment rite is to bare arms, and ot says nothing about not being able to go to walmart with a handgun! Grow up danvers pd

It wasn't the danvers pd it was peabody and state police that I saw. Also my comment wasn't allowed since I told the truth about these wack job politicians in this state.

I was there and so many cops showed up carrying AR-15's in the store for nothing. What a waste of taxpayer money, but yet what else would one expect from a state that would release 3 convicts convicted of murder and already violating previous paroles. Hope fully their next victims will be someone that isn't getting their 2nd Amendment rights squashed by this NAZI police state." Yes I can say that since the so called leaders of this state don't condone self help. So whats next, a strip search for seen buying vitamins and resisting this states insurance scam?

a real let down for the cops,, so they went outside and tried to bait some guy into a confrontation because he wanted to leave and a Peabody cruiser was in the way and he dared to ask that it be moved!!

It's pretty rude to ask a police officer to move his car out of your way. Sure, this turned out to be nothing, but they didn't know that at the time, and certainly this citizen wasn't "in the know" enough to say whatever he needed to do was more important than that cop being in that spot at that time.

Why dont the Danvers police do something useful and shut down that male prostitute posing as a massage therapist on Centre St? He even uses a fake name and age. Says he is 44 and named Chris but he is 51 and named John from Wenham.

How do you know all this about the guy? Personal experience or a yelp review?
Andrew S Browning April 12, 2012 at 06:13 PM
Althought rarely shocked by the depths of stupidity found on comment lists of people commenting on news, I'm surprised at the negative comments regarding the Police response. They can only respond Based on the information given them. Thinking there was a man with a gun in wallmart, they probably took the "lets over react just in case approach" In light of recent events, it certainly could have been a tragedy.

I'm way more concerned by what could possibly have caused a Wallmart employee to think WAX was a gun, at exactly 4:20 pm . Maybe ill google that.

It is the "right" to "bear" arms.
