Danvers Entertainer Faces New Charges After Nude Arrest at Rest Area

A Danvers man who has worked for a local entertainment company was arrested after allegedly approaching a truck driver while nude at a I-95 rest area earlier this week.

A man who works as entertainer for a Danvers company – over the years dressing up as everything from Elvis Presley to a clown - is accused of approaching a truck driver while nude at a rest stop on I-95 in Rowley this week, according to a report in the Newburyport Daily News.

State Police arrested James Vosolo, 46, of Danvers early Wednesday morning at the rest area after he allegedly got up onto the fuel tank of a truck and surprised the driver at the rest area.

The Daily News previously reported the Vosolo had worked for Danvers-based Total Entertainment as a entertainer in recent years. The company told the Daily News he was immediately fired after the arrest.

The Daily News reported that Vosolo had initially been charged with assault and battery and other driving offenses, but just before his arraignment in Newburyport District Court on Thursday more serious charges - lewd and lascivious behavior and indecent assault and battery of a person over 14 -were filed by prosecutors from the Essex County District Attorney’s office.

He was held on $10,000 cash bail or $100,000 surety and is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 21 for a pretrial hearing.

Prosecutors allege that Vosolo may have been acting out a sexual fantasy while under the influence of crack cocaine, the Daily News reported.

At the time of his arrest, police said he was only wearing thong underwear and had sex toys, Halloween masks and head lamps in his car, the Daily News reported, citing court records and statements made in court by prosecutors.
