Danvers Man Get Probation After Insulting Officer and Fleeing

A Danvers man received one year probation in Salem District Court recently for flipping off a Danvers police officer and speeding off in his car.

Ash Street resident John Mumbauer was upset with a Danvers police officer when he flipped off the officer and the fled the scene on Sylvan Street in June, according to an article in the Salem News. 

Mumbauer was upset with the officer over a previous interaction between the officer and one of his friends. Mumbauer also shouted some obscenities at the officer before getting in his car and speeding off. 

The Salem District Court judge hearing his case gave him a year probation and a speeding ticket for the offense.
