Danvers Man Pleads Guilty to Third Drunk Driving Charge

Brian Holohan had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when he backed into a car in November 2013, reported the Salem News.

A 54-year-old Sylvan Street man pleaded guilty on Thursday to driving drunk on High Street in November 2013. 

Brian Holohan, of 8 Sylvan St., Danvers, had a blood alcohol level of .28, which is more than three times the legal limit when he crashed into a car on High Street on Nov. 23, 2013, reported the Salem News.

Hollohan, who has been in custody since his arrest, was sentenced to serve nine months of a two-year jail term. After Hollohan pleaded guilty on Thursday, the balance of his sentence was suspended, he was placed on probation for three years and his license was suspended for eight years. He will also need to attend Alcoholic Anonymous and undergo treatment for alcohol, as well as pay restitution the driver whose car he struck in November, reported the Salem News.
