Driver Transported to Hospital Following Route 128 School Bus Crash

State Police responded to Route 128 at 11:05 a.m.

are investigating a school bus crash that occurred this morning on Route 128 North, resulting in a 24-year-old being transferred to the hospital. 

At 11:03 a.m. State Police in Danvers were notified of a two-vehicle crash involving a sport utility and a bus with no students aboard on Route 128 north, near Exit 23 at Route 35, according to State Police spokesman Dave Procopio.  

"The driver of the 2000 Toyota 4Runner SUV, a 24-year-old Lynn resident, was transported to Beverly Hospital for evaluation for possible injuries," Procopio said. "The 2009 Blue Bird bus was operated by a 68-year-old Peabody man, who was not injured."

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
