Fire Alarm Issue Caused Movie Theater To Close Early

Several Danvers Patch readers inquired why the AMC Loews theater at Liberty Tree Mall had shut down last night.

On Friday night, several Danvers Patch readers began inquiring as to why the movie theater at the Liberty Tree Mall had apparently closed early. At first, the word was there had been some unspecified fire safety concerns.

However, things should already be back to normal. A check this morning with the Danvers Fire Department found that it was a problem with the fire alarm system that forced the theater to shut down early. A technician was needed to come in and fix the alarm system. That was apparently accomplished, and the theater is expected to be back open for business as usual on Saturday.
