Five Charged with Passing Fraudulent Checks at Walmart

Danvers Police arrested five New York men Tuesday on charges that they tried to purchase iPods and iPads with fake traveler's checks, according to the Salem News.

The newspaper said Terrell Smith, 25, of 657 Classon Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. and Sumail Khan, 19, of 39-77 51st St., Woodside, N.Y. were charged with conspiracy and possession of counterfeit traveler's checks. Marc Correa, 20, of 43-14 60th St., Woodside, N.Y., James Lorjuste, 25, of 447 Prospect Place, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Enrique Cruz, 19, of 100 Brooklyn Ave., Freeport, N.Y. were charged with conspiracy. Police were reportedly tipped off to the counterfeit American Express checks by a cashier at Walmart on Brooksby Village Drive.
