Hear Ye! Hear Ye! It’s Auction Time

The Danvers police are holding their annual auction on April 2. Stop down to pick up a decent bike for cheap or other interesting items recovered by officers during the past year.

The is holding its Annual Bike Auction on Saturday, April 2 in the rear parking area of the police station (rain or shine).

Officers recovered approximately 50 different bicycles over the past year, all of which remain unclaimed; perhaps your missing bike is one of them.

Police Sgt. Robert Bettencourt says many of the bikes that end up at the station were stolen and simply await the rightful owners to come pick them up. In fact, if your bicycle was stolen, you should go to the station before the auction is held to see if it was recovered. Proof of ownership is necessary.
