Hit and Run Accident Sends Pedestrian to Hospital
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday.
A hit and run accident on Rt. 114 sent one pedestrian to the hospital where the person is listed in serious condition, according to police.
Just before 8 p.m. Friday, police responded to the scene near Garden Street. Witnesses said the person was struck and the vehicle - a grey, 2008 GMC Sierra left the scene.
Within a half hour, Ipswich Police pulled the suspected vehicle over on Rt. 1. The vehicle had heavy front hood and grill damage according to reports. Police placed the driver in custody.
