Indecent Exposure: Report of Pants-less Man Up a Tree

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Oct. 18-20.

Friday, Oct. 18

  • 8:08 p.m. Beverly Yacovitch, 65, of 12 Trask St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a domestic incident at her home. She was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police said a caller reported being hit with a golf club.
  • 8:10 p.m. Report of a larceny at Hathorne Hill on Kirkbride Drive. Cash was stolen.

Saturday, Oct. 19

  • 7:25 a.m. Report of a plane crash in the water. The Harbormaster's office was notified.
  • 10:22 a.m. A caller reported at Michael's reported a water leak. DPW was notified.
  • 10:32 a.m. An officer reported recovering bullets at Savers Value Village on Endicott Street.
  • 11:25 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 128 North at Elliott Street. State police handled the scene.
  • 1:27 p.m. Report of indecent exposure. A caller reported a male was up in a tree without any pants on near the Home Depot at the Liberty Tree Mall.
  • 7:48 p.m. A caller reported drug activity near the CVS off Route 1.
  • 8:06 p.m. Stephen Marcelais, 46, of 34 Northend St., Peabody, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Water Street. He was charged with driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense).
  • 9:55 p.m. Report of a larceny at a Maple Street residence.

Sunday, Oct. 20

  • 12:12 a.m. A caller on Centre Street reported a suspicious person -- the person was yelling obscenities into a phone.
  • 12:56 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run accident near Home Depot at the mall.
  • 1:02 p.m. Report of a shoplifting at Walmart involving a watch and bracelet. Police issued a court summons.
  • 4:14 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle near Walgreens on High Street and possible drug activity.
