Malden Man Faces Slew of Motor Vehicle Violations After Traffic Stop

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Nov. 17-18.

Sunday, Nov. 17

  • 5:15 p.m. Greg Johanson, 35, of Boxford, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. He was charged with shoplifting by asportation.
  • 6:42 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 128 North at the Peabody line.
  • 7:08 p.m. Jonathon Hoskyns, 22, of 10 Holten St., Peabody, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. He was charged with shoplifting by asportation (second offense). A car jack was stolen.
  • 7:20 p.m. Report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle outside Buffalo Wild Wings. The tires were slashed.
  • 10:05 p.m. A caller on Grandview Road reported a stolen dog. The call was then canceled.

Monday, Nov. 18

  • 12:30 a.m. Gabriel Mora, of 152 Endicott St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a domestic incident at Econo Lodge. Mora was charged with domestic assault and battery.
  • 8:32 a.m. Report of a larceny at Moore GMC Truck on High Street. Four brand new wheels were stolen from a vehicle.
  • 11:45 a.m. Report of an assault at the Brightview Danvers retirement community on Endicott Street.
  • 1:41 p.m. A caller at a Kirkbride Drive apartment reported receiving death threats.
  • 1:42 p.m. Jubert DaSilva, 25, of Malden, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Maple Street. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, attaching improper plates, operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle, giving a false name or address to a police officer, a number plate violation, not having a valid inspection sticker and failure to wear a seat belt.
  • 4:16 p.m. Christopher Carney, 52, of Somersworth, N.H., was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Forest and Maple streets. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation.
  • 4:47 p.m. A caller complained there were juveniles shooting Airsoft guns on Andrew Street. Police searched the area, but didn't find anyone.
  • 6:53 p.m. John Belanger, 41, of Dorchester, was arrested, following a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Phillips 66 gas station on Maple Street. He was charged on a warrant.
  • 9:07 p.m. Report of a male threatening a manager at Buffalo Wild Wings.
  • 10:59 p.m. Anthony Tedesco, 37, of Malden, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. He was charged with driving with a suspended license.
