Man Charged on 2nd Offense OUI After Crash and Leaving Scene

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from July 24-25.

Wednesday, July 24

  • 5:48 p.m. Report of harassment at Denny's.
  • 6:04 p.m. A 61-year-old Peabody man was placed into protective custody after a report of an intoxicated man on Route 114.
  • 8:54 p.m. Paul Bolger, 46, of 259 Chestnut St., Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Maple Street and Hazen Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense), leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and a marked lanes violation. Police said there were no injuries.

Thursday, July 25

  • 6:45 a.m. Report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle at Bay View Terrace. Police said the tires were slashed.
  • 8:15 a.m. A caller said a cat was hit by a car on Locust Street near Putnamville Reservoir.
  • 10:49 a.m. Report of suspicious activity at Best Buy. A caller said a person switched watches.
  • 1:52 p.m. Milton Fernandez, 27, of 1 Cordoba Dr., Danvers, was arrested at his home on a warrant.
