Man Injured When Car Leaves 95, Ends Up in Woods
A Topsfield resident was injured when his SUV crashed into the woods off I-95 on Friday night.
Police continue to investigate what sent a sport utility vehicle off the far and far into the woods on on I-95 last Friday night.
State Police said they received several calls about the crash at 11:50 p.m. on Friday, where a vehicle had gone off the road and into the woods on I-95 northbound just north of Route 62.
The driver Robert Canova, 59, of Topsfield was alone in the car. He was removed from his 2007 Honda Pilot and taken by Lyons ambulance to Beverly Hospital, according to State Trooper Todd Nolan.

Police did not say the exactly how badly Canova was injured, but at one point rescuers were checking whether a MedFlight helicopter could respond. He ended up being taken to the hospital via ambulance, police said.
The SUV had to be winched out of the woods to be towed away.

One driver, who passed the crash, posted to Twitter that it looked "pretty bad."
No citations or charges were issued in connection to the crash, Nolan said.
