Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies Search for Suspect Near Essex Aggie

The suspect was taken into custody just after 4 p.m.

The Mass. State Police Air Wing, Danvers Police, and Middleton Police have finished a search for an individual near Route 62 and Essex Aggie. 

At 4 p.m. the individual was apprehended and taken into Danvers Police Custody, State Police spokesman Dave Procopio told Danvers Patch. 

Essex County Sherriff's Office spokeswoman Barbara Maher said went to on 111 Middleton Rd. earlier this afternoon to serve a warrant.

Maher said the individual allegedly fleed the scene and ran into the woods. The situation remains under investigation. 

Procopio said the warrant was assault-related, out of New Hampshire.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., Danvers Police requested a search and rescue K9 unit from Essex Sheriff's office.
