UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Route 114

A male pedestrian was struck on Route 114 at approximately 8:15 p.m.

A male pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 114, outside the Kelly Infiniti Dealership, at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Danvers Police said a Ford Ranger hit the victim while traveling westbound toward Middleton.

Police have not released the name of the victim, but said he was a white male in his mid-40's.

Initial scanner reports indicated a Medflight was requested, but cancelled soon after. The pedestrian was unresponsive and given CPR, according to reports.

All eastbound lanes on Route 114 are currently closed at the Garden Street intersection.

Scanner reports indicated the State Police accident reconstruction team were requested to the scene at approximately 8:35 p.m.
