Police Break Up Large Underage Drinking Party

Charges will be forthcoming after police broke up a large party with underage drinkers on Andrews Street at 12:52 a.m. this morning, July 27.

Danvers police took a female into protective custody and called parents to pick up young people who were at the party, said Danvers police Lt. Dana Milne.

When police responded to 12 Andrews St. they found a large number of underage drinkers, Milne said. There were 19 young people listed in the incident report, ranging from 14 to 21 years old, he said.

Charges will be pressed in connection with the incident, likely by summonses, police said.

Andrews Street is located near Hobart Street, by the YMCA.
