Police Discover More than 40 Marijuana Plants in Danvers Home

discovered an illegal grow operation at the home of 133 High St., resulting in one arrest, Wednesday. 

Detective Tim Williamson had started an investigation after receiving a report of someone growing marijuana at the address. Police said after receiving a search warrant, they discovered more than 40 marijuana plants in the home, as well as more than $50,000 and more than 100 prescription pills without prescription records.

Michael Crisafi, 45, of 133 High St., was charged with possession with Class D with intent to distribute, two counts of possession Class B, two counts of possession of Class C, six counts of possession Class E, as well as two counts of improper storage of fire arms.

According to Sergeant Bob Bettencourt, during the search, they also found 28 unsecured handguns, rifles and other large capacity firearms. Crisafi did have a license to carry weapons, but Bettencourt said because they were not properly secured they were confiscated. 

Crisafi was arraigned yesterday in at Salem District Court, and posted on a $10,000 bail.
